Construction Themed StoryWalk in Downtown Grimsby

Downtown Grimsby, in collaboration with the Town of Grimsby and the Grimsby Chamber of Commerce, is inviting residents and visitors to experience a family-friendly construction-themed StoryWalk running from July 2 to August 28, 2026, throughout the downtown core. People of all ages can explore downtown by following the pages of the storybook Mighty, Mighty Construction Site displayed at participating businesses.

A StoryWalk is an outdoor reading experience that places pages of a children’s book along a walking route. As visitors move from stop to stop, they read the story together while enjoying fresh air, exercise, and time in the community.

This year’s featured story, Mighty, Mighty Construction Site, follows a hardworking team of construction vehicles as they work together to tackle a big job. The story celebrates teamwork, perseverance, and helping others — making it the perfect fit for Downtown Grimsby this summer.

Visit participating businesses along the StoryWalk route in order to read the full story from beginning to end. Families are encouraged to take their time, stop into local businesses, and make a day of their visit downtown.
